Food Business Resource is a premier food consulting business, which offers both technical and business development services. Their clients consist of large manufacturers, food services providers, retailers, entrepreneurs, distributors and suppliers.
Food Business Resource had two goals when it came to updating their site. The first was to have a website that would be attractive to potential clients, as well as, be easy for the clients to obtain information from. The second was to create a website that would allow people to sign up with Food Business Resource to become part of their pool of product testers.
Their Home page opens with a small Flash introduction that is part of the page. This Flash clip gives a visual introduction to the various fields that Food Business Resource handles. The content of the page is split into two parts. One side is catered to their manufacturing clients while the other side provides information for people who came to the website to join their consumer panelists. The consumer panelist section also provides a quick link for people to be taken directly to the database form where they can sign up without having to search through the website.
Some of the highlights in the development of this site consisted with the Services page and consumer panelist form. The Services page uses JavaScript so the pages will not reload, thus a customer is not forced to scroll down to the content section of the page every time they click on one of the sub-categories. The consumer panelist form was created with PHP and will highlight the fields a customer may have missed prior to sending the form.
